In the dream, John had freed him of his burden, and he was happy, murmuring words of love, and laughing in his sleep, his dream happy and contented.įrancis heard the sound of a mobile phone going off, but though he did not wake up fully, he kept his eyes closed, and made as if he were still asleep.

He dreamed of them having a happy life together, and of him being totally clear and free from his past. But, as he slept, his body was even more relaxed when he still felt the other man there beside him. He still held onto John in his sleep, for a while longer, afraid he would leave him alone, and he would wake up with him not there. He fell into a deep, peaceful sleep, one he had not had in ages, and not since first arriving in Britain many weeks ago. He could feel his own mind had returned, and it was all thanks to the handsome man whom he was now cuddling with. He did not even think about the dragon, who seemed to have gone away even more so now that he and John had connected and were together. He could not believe how the other man had made him feel so calm and comfortable. They had lain together in the bed, and he held the other man close to him, feeling sated and happy. Francis had enjoyed their wonderful night of passions, as he and John had made love many times, well into the next morning.
